Captain Jim Bob Sherwood Friday, July 23, 2010
Justin is thrilled to learn he has been selected to write an issue of the Captain Jim Bob Sherwood comic, but quickly loses enthusiasm after he discovers Alex has been selected to illustrate it. Forced to work together the two can't agree on what the comic should be about, so Alex uses magic to bring Captain Jim Bob Sherwood to life.

2.01 Smarty Pants Original AirDate: September 12, 2008 Summary: Alex joins best friend Harper for the Tribeca Quiz Bowl, an academic decathlon. To help give her an edge in the competition Alex wears magical smarty pants, which give her superior knowledge on anything and everything there is to know. The team is winning, but Alex's cheating could cost Harper the opportunity to academically shine among her teammates.
2.02 Beware Wolf Original AirDate: September 21, 2008 Summary: Alex is wary when Justin meets and falls for a new girl named Isabella. Her suspicions prove correct when Isabella is revealed to be a Werewolf and turns Justin into a Werewolf too. Meanwhile, Max opens a dog walking business with his new pal, Alfred.
2.03 Graphic Novel Original AirDate: October 5, 2008 Summary: Justin and Max steal Alex's diary only to have it stolen again by Gigi, Alex's arch nemesis. In an attempt to recover the diary, the brothers accidentally place Gigi inside the book and into Alex's secret fairy-tale princess world.
2.04 Racing Original AirDate: October 12, 2008 Summary: Alex uses the restoration and upcoming race of Jerry's junky old car as an opportunity to develop her relationship with her "gear head" crush, Dean. Meanwhile, Max orders a mind-reading kit.
2.05 Maximan Original AirDate: October 19, 2008 Summary: The kids fail at their group magic project, so Jerry devises a plan that will force them to work together. Now Alex must wrestle with sacrificing her first one-on-one date with Dean so that she and Justin can help Max's superhero, "Maximan," solve the crime and prove to Jerry that the siblings can work as a team.
2.06 Saving Wiztech Part 1 Original AirDate: October 26, 2008 Summary: Wiz Tech is forced to close, and the Russo's must take in Professor Crumbs and fellow student Ronald, who quickly develops a magical connection with Alex. Professor Crumbs teaches Max how to assimilate into the mortal world and Justin saves-the-day by finding the solution to reopen Wiz Tech.
2.07 Saving Wiztech Part 2 Original AirDate: October 26, 2008 Summary: After enrolling in Wiz Tech, Alex realizes her new crush, Ronald, has kidnapped her former crush, Dean. Max and Professor Crumbs join forces to become a dynamic duo, and Justin and Alex must team up to save Wiz Tech from falling into the hands of Ronald and his evil father.
2.08 Harper Knows Original AirDate: November 23, 2008 Summary: Alex tries to avoid running into Harper at the annual Comic-Con type convention in order to protect her wizard secret but winds up revealing the truth after Harper takes a spin in Alex's power laden Battle Diva costume. Meanwhile, Justin and Max work alongside Hugh Normous and the Emergency Wizards to make sure other wizards don't perform any real magic.
2.09 Taxi Dance Original AirDate: December 7, 2008 Summary: After finding out the cab Alex was born in is going to be retired, Alex uses magic to fix the cab, which brings it to life.
2.10 Baby Cupid Original AirDate: December 14, 2008 Summary: When Theresa gets mad at Jerry for using magic inappropriately with the kids, Alex calls in Cupid to make Theresa fall head over heels in love with Jerry again.
2.11 Make It Happen Original AirDate: December 31, 2008 Summary: Jerry advises the Russo kids to select a profession to fall back on in the event they don't become wizards, so Mr. Stuffleby, a wizard guidance counselor, arrives to help Alex, Justin and Max think of an alternate career choice.
2.12 Fairy Tale Original AirDate: January 18, 2009 Summary: As director of the school's production of "Peter Pan," Justin casts Harper to play Tinkerbell, but Alex is forced to step in and play the role when Harper is sidelined by an injury. Meanwhile, Max writes a review of the play for the school paper.
2.13 Fashion Week Original AirDate: February 15, 2009 Summary: Harper is helping Mr. Frenchy, a famous fashion designer, during Fashion Week, and enlists Alex's help to care for a one-of-a-kind dress. When Alex ruins it, she decides to host the designer's show at the Waverly Sub Station in an attempt to fix things. She also uses magic to bring a poster of supermodel Bibi Rockford to life to wear the couture gown on the catwalk.
2.14 Helping Hand Original AirDate: February 16, 2009 Summary: To Receive an official spell certificate, Justin invents a "Helping Hand" designed to assist the elderly. But before he can present it to the Superintendent of Spells, Alex wears it out by having it do all of her household chores.
2.15 Art Teacher Original AirDate: March 1, 2009 Summary: Dwayne Johnson and Misty May-Treanor pay Max a visit after they hear he is suffering from a mysterious ailment, but the gig is quickly up when it's discovered Max used magic to create the ailment so he could get out of gym class. Meanwhile, Alex bonds with her new art teacher, who is really a 16-year-old that had an age spell cast on her by a jilted wizard boyfriend.
2.16 Future Harper Original AirDate: March 15, 2009 Summary: Alex, Justin and Max Russo travel into the future to find a best-selling author who is using their lives as the basis of her novels, only to find out the author is Harper Finkle (guest star Rachel Dratch). After the discovery, Justin must ensure that Alex and Harper stay friends to preserve all of their futures.
2.17 Alex Does Good Original AirDate: April 5, 2009 Summary: The school principal enrolls Alex in the Sunshine Club after noticing her kindness to an elderly woman, Maggie. Alex quickly sees that the students in the club are only interested in helping others for their own good, and decides that charity without an agenda is the best way to live. Meanwhile, Theresa and Jerry appoint Justin to be Max's chaperone on his first date.
2.18 Hugh's Not Normous Original AirDate: April 12, 2009 Summary: When Hugh Normous runs away from home after discovering he was adopted and is not really a giant, Alex decides to help him find his birth parents.
2.19 Don't Rain on Justin's Parade - Earth Original AirDate: April 19, 2009 Summary: Justin tries to save the job of his favorite weatherman, Baxter Knight, by magically altering the weather to match Baxter's forecast but Mother Nature teaches Justin an important lesson about natural resources.
2.20 Family Game Night Original AirDate: April 26, 2009 Summary: In order to pass an exam Alex didn't study for, she decides to swap brains with Harper, but they are unable to switch back. Meanwhile, Justin invites a girl who has a crush on him to the Russo's family game night.
2.21 Justin's New Girlfriend Original AirDate: May 2, 2009 Summary: Alex is jealous of the budding friendship between Justin and Harper and their shared love of silent movies, so she sabotages their plans. To get back at her, Justin casts a spell on Alex that places all three of them in an old silent movie. Meanwhile, Theresa and Jerry switch duties at the Waverly Substation to see who has the more difficult job.
2.22 My Tutor, Tutor Original AirDate: May 30, 2009 Summary: Jerry hires a tutor named Tutor to help Max pass a test at school. After both Alex and Justin bond with her, they devise a plan to provide her full time work but it involves Max failing his test.
2.23 Paint By Committee Original AirDate: June 26, 2009 Summary: Alex is commissioned to paint the school mural, a project she is very passionate about. In an attempt to please everyone, she uses magic to create the mural and realizes she has compromised her own artistic vision.
2.24 Wizard for a Day Original AirDate: July 10, 2009 Summary: Alex tries to outdo Justin by giving their dad a Merlin's hat with unlimited wishes for his birthday. When she thinks Jerry' wishes are too simple, she takes matters into her own hands, but is unprepared for the consequences, including a visit from an alien spaceship.
2.25 Cast-Away (To Another Show) Original AirDate: July 17, 2009 Summary: Justin is excited to meet London Tipton when he wins the essay contest prize, a cruise on the SS Tipton. Alex and Max get to go aboard too, where Alex bonds with new BFF Bailey but soon gets in hot water when she uses magic to bring Harper aboard. Meanwhile, Max and Zack compete in a series of outrageous challenges.
2.26 Wizards vs. Vampires On Waverly Place Original AirDate: July 24, 2009 Summary: Business at the Waverly Sub Station is slow after the opening of a new neighborhood sandwich shop owned by vampires. Jerry sends Justin to spy on the establishment, but Justin meets and ends up falling for Juliet, the daughter of the competing shop's vampire owners.
2.27 Wizards vs. Vampires: Tasty Bites Original AirDate: July 31, 2009 Summary: Justin's new vampire girlfriend Juliet gets the Russos to change their lifestyle by adding healthy foods and exercise. However Alex is concerned about Juliet's true intentions for Justin when she discovers that vampires like the taste of healthy blood.
2.28 Wizards vs. Vampires: Dream Date Original AirDate: August 7, 2009 Summary: After Dean moves away, Alex continues to date him by using magic to enter his dreams. When he pays her a surprise visit and the real date isn't as great as she had dreamt, she searches for a way to break up with him. Meanwhile Justin tells his vampire girlfriend Juliet that he is not allowed to go on her family camping trip.
2.29 Wizards & Vampires vs. Zombies Original AirDate: August 14, 2009 Summary: Justin convinces Juliet that their prom date will be the most memorable ever. Meanwhile Alex opts to plan a zombie themed anti-prom, but is unprepared for the unexpected real zombies that arrive for the ultimate prom dance off.
2.30 Retest Original AirDate: August 21, 2009 Summary: Jerry and his siblings, Kelbo and Megan, decide to retake the Wizard test that, in their teen years, determined who got to keep their powers. When Alex, Justin and Max see how competitive the contest gets, they realize the same test could eventually tear their family apart as well.
